Editorial policy: sources and onion rules
We separate sourced facts from editorial judgment, prefer named primary sources, and show review dates where pages carry them. The market catalog and onion link directory are maintained records, not a live-availability monitor.
Directory
- Markets, forums, and services are maintained in the site data rather than copied from another catalog. Inclusion means a directory record exists; it does not establish current uptime, ownership, or safety.
- We do not invent or import new live market onion addresses. If an address is missing, the gap stays visible; when an official project or publisher source is available, the listing can point to it.
- Status and feature tags are editorial labels, not warranties. TorBible does not claim continuous live crawling, current PGP canary checks, or independent control verification for listed addresses.
Encyclopedia
- Feature pages identify their editorial byline and expose publication and review dates when those fields exist. Sources are named for sourced claims.
- No illegal step-by-step instructions for crimes.
Corrections
There is currently no public email address, form, social account, or PGP channel for correction submissions. When the editorial desk identifies an error during maintenance, it may amend the affected page. On a page with a displayed review date, a substantive correction updates that date rather than backdating it. This is an internal maintenance practice, not a public submission process or a complete public change log.
